Coach Takeo Inoki Joins MAC

August 11, 2022 - Markham Aquatic Club today announced that Coach Takeo Inoki has joined the coaching staff and will lead MAC's Bronze Group and Masters Program. Under the direction of Head Coach Sean Baker, Coach Takeo will also support MAC's older age groups as part of its age group development strategy. Coach Takeo is an important addition to MAC with over 30 years of Canadian and International coaching experience. His extensive coaching background includes positions as an Age Group Coach, Assistant Head Coach, Head Coach and National Head Coach that will effectively augment the progress and success that MAC has realized in recent years.

"Takeo's reputation for professionalism, focus on safe sport, and new training and teaching systems is the perfect fit to help our young competitive swimmers further their fundamental skill development," said Sean Baker. "Coach Takeo is highly regarded in the Canadian and International swim coaching community." 

Coach Takeo is moving back to Canada from Japan and begins coaching with MAC when the season begins in September 2022.
